ABOUT ME
BEHIND THE LENS
My name is Pete Galula and I am based in Auckland, New Zealand.
I've always loved art and all things creative but photography was really something I have poured my creative soul into. I didn't have formal training in photography. I learned as I went along. I don't even have a fancy expensive camera. I have a basic kit but I always believed that it's not about the camera, but the one who holds it.
I don't follow convention and I always follow my own instincts. They say I have an "eye" for capturing images. Maybe I do. And I don't know how I got that. I suppose I just had it in me. Something you can't really teach.
I consider my camera as a paintbrush, and the world, my canvas.
